REGIONAL MEET 2024

Dear Members,

 

Please read the letter below from Central Counties Regional Secretary, regarding the formation of a Regional Meet Sub Committee.

Good Evening,

 

The Regional Committee are trying to organise a Central Counties Region Meet in 2024.

 

We are forming a Sub Committee and request you to ask any Committee Members or any of your DA members if they would like to join the Sub Committee or the Working Party, or even just an offer of help on the weekend.

 

We are looking for a date in September 2024.

 

Our first Sub Committee meeting will be held at Corby Glen, nr Grantham during the weekend of 1st October, hosted by South Lincs DA.  These details will be confirmed once we know we have enough members to form the Sub Committee.

 

Regional Meets are part of our history and during lockdown we had to cancel and then a couple of years with no plans.

The Meets are a chance for all DA’s to get together and meet up, to have some fun with fellow campers. Bars, entertainment, children's entertainment and more.

​

Traditionally we have always had a Mardi Gras on the Saturday with all DA’s taking part.  Is this what the current trend of campers want?  Can we change the meeting as HQ have done with the old NFOL and the current Torchlight, which was very successful.

 

We need to know what your members would like.

 

Please send a representative to the meeting, even if they do not want to come on the Committee, but please ask around for members to join the Sub Committee and get the Regional Meet off the ground for 2024. 

Please email all your Committee and ask any members you think might be able to help.  If you have an upcoming Meet please ask members attending for their support.

 

It's the same old story, not enough interest and it will be gone for ever and that will be such a shame.
